Triaxial cables are primarily used for electrical connections for video cameras and transmission systems. Their high-quality materials and high-precision balanced design maximise their transmission properties (low attenuation, even characteristic impedance). The smooth outer braided screen enables cameras to be supplied with power. The cable is also available with PUR outer jacket (normally PVC) for uses involving a high degree of mechanical stress. The FRNC-jacket is used for installations in studios.
